About BELIRIS

The ERDF department is also responsible for the administrative coordination of Beliris projects.  Beliris is a collaboration between the federal government and the Brussels-Capital Region, whose aim is to promote the influence of Brussels as the capital of Belgium and of Europe.

Beliris promotes the influence of Brussels through the realization of construction, renovation and restoration projects, partly funded by federal budgets. As a project owner, this public service contributes to sustainable projects that improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of Brussels and for the visitors to the capital.

Within Brussels International, the Beliris Unit is responsible for ensuring that initiatives agreed between the regional and federal governments are respected.
